Julie (She/her) began her journey in Massage Therapy with a passion for becoming a part of the solution to chronic pain and wellness. Her approach is grounded in the biopsychosocial model, which considers the complex interactions between these factors in health and pain management. She believes in preventative care and tailors her treatments to be inclusive and accessible for all, acknowledging the unique health journey of each individual.
A graduate of the 3000-hour program at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC, in 2016, Julie has worked in diverse environments, including Heli-skiing organizations and multidisciplinary clinics, while maintaining a private practice. In 2008, I made the move out West from Quebec to chase a lifelong dream of snowboarding amidst the breathtaking mountain peaks. I grew up immersed in the world of dance, a passion that constantly fuelled my fascination with the body’s abilities and its capacity for movement. Before embracing massage therapy, I spent over a decade immersed in the forestry industry while dedicating winters to my passion for snowboarding. These experiences not only strengthened my connection to nature but also taught me invaluable lessons about managing the physical demands placed on the body.
I completed a Remedial Massage Diploma at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Alberta in 2024 and became an BC RMT in 2025. My education has been enriched by hands-on experience, particularly during my time working at a Cat Skiing lodge this past and current winter, where I honed my ability to address the unique needs of active individuals.
In 2014 I acquired a Yoga teacher certificate (RYT200) which deepened my understanding of the body’s mechanics.
I combine an intuitive, attentive approach to each client’s needs with strong therapeutic critical thinking. My toolbox includes a variety of techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, active release therapy, trigger point therapy, and relaxation methods. Whether you’re seeking regular maintenance, recovering from an injury, or preparing for your next athletic endeavour, my goal is to help you achieve a state of balance, mobility, and well-being.
I am genuinely excited to support the Golden community in their journey toward better health and relaxation. I look forward to working with you and being a part of your path to enhanced mobility and vitality.

Kelsey graduated in 2019 from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC.
Before becoming an RMT Kelsey worked in Silviculture for close to a decade. While she still feels drawn to remote bushwork, the urge to set roots down was stronger.
Kelsey’s treatment style is holistic and client centered. She believes in fostering a therapeutic space for healing, rehabilitation and relaxation. In her practice she uses a blend of Swedish Massage, and Myofascial Release to create a specifically tailored treatment for every body.
Recently, Kelsey has completed training in Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), and is beyond thrilled to be able to offer this technique to her clients.
Kelsey is an enthusiastic trail runner, mountain biker, and hiker. You can find her and her dog, Freya, out in the mountains on most weekends. Her love of snowboarding has been rekindled since moving to Golden, and in the summers her veggie garden is overflowing.

I grew up in the outdoors and have always loved wild and rugged places. This love led me to pursue a degree in Biology, and I am fortunate to have worked as a field biologist all over BC and in many of the mountain National Parks. I moved to Field in 2018, and then to Golden a few years later, and very quickly realized that there was no other place in the world for me.
Being a field biologist is a physically demanding occupation. Over the years, I developed a deep appreciation for the body’s intrinsic strength and ability to heal itself, but also frustration from chronic injuries and associated pain. Combined, these experiences sparked a fascination with the human body that rapidly led me to a second career as a Registered Massage Therapist.
I graduated with honors from Calgary’s Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2021, and passed the regulated provincial board exams shortly after. As a BC RMT, I offer insurance billing for massage therapy.
My own lived experience and love of ‘nerding out’ has led me to be deeply interested in how and why our bodies work the way they do. I firmly believe that you are the expert when it comes to what your body is feeling, so appointments with me start with a brief, but targeted chat and assessment of what may be causing your body to feel the way it does. In treatment, my style is intuitive, evidence-based, and client-centered, with a focus on therapeutic massage that addresses the root causes of chronic pain, tension, and discomfort. I integrate manual therapy and proprioceptive techniques with modalities like DermoNeuroModulating, Clinical Neurodynamics, and somatic exercises to target the nervous system linked to the affected areas. By adjusting and actively retraining these systems, I aim to provide lasting relief and improved function.
My treatments can be highly interactive, incorporating client feedback throughout the session to make adjustments based on what feels right and effective. While relaxation is important, my practice is focused on active, therapeutic approaches rather than traditional relaxation massage. If you’re dealing with chronic pain, injury recovery, or functional imbalances, I offer a range of techniques to address these deeper concerns.
When I’m not in the treatment room, you’ll find me wandering through my garden, or biologizing, hiking, or mountain biking in the mountains around Golden.
To best support my current clients, I am generally not accepting new clients at this time. However, I do accept new clients referred by other healthcare practitioners on a case-by-case basis. If you have been referred, please send me a short email at jill@unravel-therapeutics.com with the name of the referring professional and a brief overview of your case, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
If you would like to be added to a waitlist for new client openings, please email me at jill@unravel-therapeutics.com.

I was born and raised in Fort McMurray, AB. Growing up in the North provided me with a sense of adventure and a fondness for wild spaces. I learned quickly that I wanted to carve out an intentional lifestyle for myself. One that is close to nature, rich in experiences, and fosters meaningful connections. Thankfully, I found Golden! I spent my 20s studying Kinesiology, and my fascination with the human body grew deep. In the summers I lead week-long active travel tours, and in winter I escaped to the ski slopes in search of powder.
I began my massage career after studying with the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage in 2012. The school prided itself on creating practitioners who honed their ability to truly listen to a client’s needs, hold space, and be able to offer a whole body/client-centered treatment style. After 6 years of working as a bodyworker in backcountry lodge settings and for my own businesses in both Canmore and Golden, I knew I wanted to take the next step in my massage career. I took on another 2200hrs of Remedial Massage Therapy Training and graduated with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy. I challenged the regulated provincial board exams and passed. I am now a BC RMT and can offer insurance billing to the community of Golden.
My treatment style is many things: a balance of compassionate listening, educated investigation into the root cause of the discomfort, thoughtfulness, intuition, and most importantly: a safe space. My goal is to blend my bodywork training with remedial massage therapy in a treatment style that allows you to melt into relaxation while addressing the stuck issues in your soft tissue. Ultimately, this will leave you feeling deeply relaxed, but also with more space and ease in your body.
I am also passionate about movement and want to invite you to find feel-good movement in your body in a way that is safe for you. I hold a 200Hr Registered Yoga Teacher certificate that I received right here in Golden, BC from Alana Jung and Lydia Zamorano. When I am not in the treatment room you can find me riding my mountain bike, backcountry skiing, gardening, laughing with friends, or taking a dip in the Blaeberry River with my husband and dog.
