Positioning and techniques are carefully adapted using pregnancy bolsters (including face-down options), side-lying positioning, or semi-reclined support to ensure comfort and safety for both parent and baby.

Postnatal massage can also help ease tension from feeding, carrying, and newborn care, supporting recovery and nervous system regulation during this important transition.

Neurofunctional Massage Therapy is a therapeutic approach that works with both the body and the nervous system. It integrates clinical neurodynamics, dermoneuromodulation, somatic exercise, and the NeuroFascial Flow Method to better understand where discomfort is coming from — whether it is related to muscles, nerves, or the way the nervous system is holding patterns of tension and pain.

This work focuses on careful assessment and targeted treatment rather than full-body relaxation massage. By working with the skin, fascia, nerves, and movement patterns, treatment helps clarify what is contributing to pain or restriction so the approach can be specific and effective.

Sessions emphasize responsive, nervous-system–aware techniques that help the body feel safe enough to release protective tension. As the nervous system settles, areas of restriction can soften and new, more comfortable patterns of movement and support can emerge.

Neurofunctional Massage Therapy is especially well suited for people experiencing ongoing pain, stubborn tension, movement restrictions, or symptoms that haven’t responded to more general massage approaches. The goal is to help the body move toward greater ease, resilience, and lasting change.

NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique)
NAET is a holistic treatment designed to help the body reduce sensitivities to foods, environmental allergens, and chemicals. It combines principles from acupuncture, kinesiology (muscle testing), and energetic balancing.

During a session, muscle testing is used to identify sensitivities while specific acupuncture points are stimulated as the body is gently exposed to the substance in a controlled way.

This process helps the nervous system relearn how to respond to the substance without triggering a stress response, supporting improved tolerance and overall balance over time.

In 2008, I made the move out West from Quebec to chase a lifelong dream of snowboarding amidst the breathtaking mountain peaks. I grew up immersed in the world of dance, a passion that constantly fuelled my fascination with the body’s abilities and its capacity for movement. Before embracing massage therapy, I spent over a decade immersed in the forestry industry while dedicating winters to my passion for snowboarding. These experiences not only strengthened my connection to nature but also taught me invaluable lessons about managing the physical demands placed on the body.

I completed a Remedial Massage Diploma at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Alberta in 2024 and became an BC RMT in 2025. My education has been enriched by hands-on experience, particularly during my time working at a Cat Skiing lodge this past and current winter, where I honed my ability to address the unique needs of active individuals.

In 2014 I acquired a Yoga teacher certificate (RYT200) which deepened my understanding of the body’s mechanics.

I combine an intuitive, attentive approach to each client’s needs with strong therapeutic critical thinking. My toolbox includes a variety of techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, active release therapy, trigger point therapy, and relaxation methods. Whether you’re seeking regular maintenance, recovering from an injury, or preparing for your next athletic endeavour, my goal is to help you achieve a state of balance, mobility, and well-being.

I am genuinely excited to support the Golden community in their journey toward better health and relaxation. I look forward to working with you and being a part of your path to enhanced mobility and vitality.

Kelsey graduated in 2019 from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC.

Before becoming an RMT Kelsey worked in Silviculture for close to a decade. While she still feels drawn to remote bushwork, the urge to set roots down was stronger.

Kelsey’s treatment style is holistic and client centered. She believes in fostering a therapeutic space for healing, rehabilitation and relaxation. In her practice she uses a blend of Swedish Massage, and Myofascial Release to create a specifically tailored treatment for every body.

Recently, Kelsey has completed training in Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), and is beyond thrilled to be able to offer this technique to her clients.

Kelsey is an enthusiastic trail runner, mountain biker, and hiker. You can find her and her dog, Freya, out in the mountains on most weekends. Her love of snowboarding has been rekindled since moving to Golden, and in the summers her veggie garden is overflowing.

I grew up in the outdoors and have always loved wild and rugged places. This love led me to pursue a degree in Biology, and I was fortunate to work as a field biologist across BC and in many of the mountain National Parks. I moved to Field in 2018, and then to Golden a few years later — and quickly realized there was nowhere else I’d rather be.

Being a field biologist is a physically demanding occupation. Over the years, I developed a deep appreciation for the body’s intrinsic strength and ability to heal itself — along with my fair share of chronic injuries and frustration with pain. Those experiences sparked a fascination with the human body that eventually led me to a second career as a Registered Massage Therapist.

I graduated with honours from Calgary’s Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2021 and am now a BC-registered RMT offering insurance billing.

My background in biology and lived experience with injury recovery naturally drew me toward a neurofunctional-informed approach — a therapeutic style that focuses on the nervous system as much as the muscles. My treatments draw from techniques such as DermoNeuroModulating (DNM), Clinical Neurodynamics, and somatic movement, which work together to improve how the body senses, moves, and regulates itself. This approach is highly targeted and collaborative, designed to create meaningful, long-term change in how your body feels and functions.

My practice is focused on therapeutic care, not relaxation or general deep-tissue massage. I do not offer treatments aimed purely at stress relief, general muscle fatigue, or “maintenance” massage. Instead, I work with clients who are looking to understand and change specific patterns in their body — whether that’s chronic or recurring pain, injury recovery, postural or lifestyle strain, or movement challenges that affect day-to-day life or athletic performance.

In treatment, my style is intuitive, evidence-informed, and client-centered. I provide focused care and often incorporate gentle movement, awareness, or homecare strategies to help clients stay engaged in their own progress beyond the table.

If you’re looking for a treatment that addresses root causes and helps your body relearn more easeful movement and comfort, this work may be a great fit.

When I’m not in the treatment room, you’ll find me wandering through my garden, or out hiking, mountain biking, or “biologizing” in the mountains around Golden.

I’m pleased to be accepting new clients who are interested in this neurofunctional-informed, therapeutic approach. Please note that my treatments do not include relaxation-style or general deep-tissue massage. If this sounds like the kind of focused, collaborative care you’re looking for, I’d love to work with you.

I was born and raised in Fort McMurray, AB. Growing up in the North provided me with a sense of adventure and a fondness for wild spaces. I learned quickly that I wanted to carve out an intentional lifestyle for myself. One that is close to nature, rich in experiences, and fosters meaningful connections. Thankfully, I found Golden! I spent my 20s studying Kinesiology, and my fascination with the human body grew deep. In the summers I lead week-long active travel tours, and in winter I escaped to the ski slopes in search of powder.

I began my massage career after studying with the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage in 2012. The school prided itself on creating practitioners who honed their ability to truly listen to a client’s needs, hold space, and be able to offer a whole body/client-centered treatment style. After 6 years of working as a bodyworker in backcountry lodge settings and for my own businesses in both Canmore and Golden, I knew I wanted to take the next step in my massage career. I took on another 2200hrs of Remedial Massage Therapy Training and graduated with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy. I challenged the regulated provincial board exams and passed. I am now a BC RMT and can offer insurance billing to the community of Golden.

My treatment style is many things: a balance of compassionate listening, educated investigation into the root cause of the discomfort, thoughtfulness, intuition, and most importantly: a safe space. My goal is to blend my bodywork training with remedial massage therapy in a treatment style that allows you to melt into relaxation while addressing the stuck issues in your soft tissue. Ultimately, this will leave you feeling deeply relaxed, but also with more space and ease in your body.

I am also passionate about movement and want to invite you to find feel-good movement in your body in a way that is safe for you. I hold a 200Hr Registered Yoga Teacher certificate that I received right here in Golden, BC from Alana Jung and Lydia Zamorano. When I am not in the treatment room you can find me riding my mountain bike, backcountry skiing, gardening, laughing with friends, or taking a dip in the Blaeberry River with my husband and dog.
